VANTAGE-7: KINETK's Directional Resume Check Explained
VANTAGE-7 compares the text from your resume with a target job description. It reviews role-language overlap, section indicators, dates, bullets, and measurable evidence. The score is a directional editing aid. It does not reproduce an employer's ATS, recruiter workflow, or hiring decision.
The 7 Review Lenses
- Extracted text checks whether the checker received enough readable resume text to run the review. Inspect the formatted document separately because a text heuristic cannot see every visual issue.
- Target-role language compares terms in the resume with terms in the job description. Every suggested term still needs accurate experience behind it.
- Section signals checks for conventional resume section words that help organize the document.
- Date and chronology signals looks for date patterns that support a readable employment timeline.
- Bullet signals checks whether the extracted text contains resume-style accomplishment or responsibility statements.
- Evidence signals looks for numbers and measurable scope. It cannot confirm that a number is accurate, so source verification remains essential.
- Human review asks whether the title, scope, proof, and language make sense to a recruiter. This final lens requires judgment outside the automated score.
Results That Speak
See individual client results for the before-and-after documents, the changes behind each case, and supporting diagnostic scores. These examples do not promise interviews or job offers.
The useful output is a short repair list you can verify against the resume and target role. Keep every change accurate and readable.
How the Directional Score Works
The live score combines text-level signals such as job-language overlap, section indicators, dates, bullets, and measurable evidence. It is one generic heuristic, not a set of platform-specific models.
- Higher overlap means more target-role language appears in the submitted resume text.
- Section and date signals indicate that the text has recognizable resume structure and chronology.
- Bullet and evidence signals indicate that the resume contains work statements and measurable scope.
- Missing signals become repair priorities, with the first 3 shown on screen.
The result uses a 100-point display for comparison within the checker. No universal employer passing score exists, and KINETK does not publish an average outcome claim.
How to Interpret the Result
Use the score to compare versions of the same resume against the same job description. A change in score can show that the submitted text contains different signals. It cannot show where the employer will rank the candidate.
Review the flags in this order:
- Accuracy: confirm that every title, date, tool, credential, and metric is supported.
- Role fit: check whether the most important job requirements appear through relevant experience.
- Structure: review the formatted file and copied plain text for clear chronology and section order.
- Readability: make sure a recruiter can understand the candidate's lane and strongest evidence quickly.
Real Before and After: Inspect an Individual Resume Case
The results page shows individual before-and-after documents, the writing changes behind each case, and supporting diagnostic scores.
A revised resume may show changes such as:
- A clearer single-column document with a readable contact block and standard section names.
- Accurate target-role language in the summary, skills, and relevant experience.
- Bullets rewritten around ownership, measurable outcomes, and role-specific proof.
A higher diagnostic score can indicate that identified document problems were corrected. It does not establish placement in a recruiter's results or predict an interview.
